Who writes this guide, and why it recommends Elate.
Who's behind the site, who owns it, and how the information gets checked.
This site is published by Elate Orthodontics and written by its co-founder, Dr. Kevin Baharvand, a board-certified orthodontist. When it recommends Elate, that's the owner recommending his own practice. Better you hear that here than find it in the fine print.
Why a Carrollton guide
Search for orthodontic care in Carrollton and you mostly get directories, review sites, and practice home pages. Very little of it explains which school district your address is in, what's happening with CFBISD consolidations, how to tell an orthodontist from a dentist who offers braces, or where a Korean-speaking family can talk through treatment in Korean.
Carrollton also matters to us for another reason. Elate is planning a Carrollton office. There's no address or opening date to announce, and when there is, it'll be posted here. Until then, this guide points Carrollton families to the closest Elate office, in The Colony.
How we keep it accurate
- Clinical guidance follows the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Board of Orthodontics, and we link to them so you can check.
- School information comes from district websites and board records, with the date we checked. School news changes fast, so the closure article carries its own check date.
- Credentials and awards are ones we can document. We don't use "best" unless it's the actual name of an award.
- Office hours and addresses are checked against Elate's own listings. Driving distances are approximate.
- We don't name or criticize other local practices. The goal is to help you compare using the same questions anywhere.

Medical information
This site is general education. It can't diagnose anything and doesn't replace an exam. If something here doesn't match what your own orthodontist or dentist told you, ask them. They've seen your teeth, and we haven't.
